The “best” thing about genAI (the quotes are doing heavy work here) is that it’s really lowered the bar on getting into hand-made art. Literally anything you make is better than ai. There’s never been a better time to throw away your fear and start learning that craft you’ve always wanted to learn.

This happens in literature as well. They give us a token seat at the table (or in this case, a completely separate second-tier table) and expect us to pay up and be grateful for it. Please stop calling it a Trans issue/debate. Trans people are people thanks. Doing that means the culture wars vultures have already won the battle in dehumanizing a literal group of people. I don't care how "small" that group is (which is another problem). Trans people are people.

They went into the military on their own terms. They promoted their album without the media. They boycotted the award. BTS are taking a stand and are done with being used. They know who they are. They know their strength and they’re fighting. I’m proud beyond words.

It's not enough to be against AI, you need to be pro art. You need to be a champion of the art you love, you need to share that passion and joy, and do what you can to support the artists who make it, because it's not enough to hate AI, to hate what it's doing to art and media; you gotta love.

Listen, i work in historic preservation and conservation and this headline is misleadingly skipping the key point: this specifically and pointedly destroys the protections for Native American sacred sites. built heritage matters but not as much as the rights of indigenous folk.
