This parallels something I've been thinking about men who are into "looksmaxxing:" They say they do it to get women, but ugly guys get gfs all the time. What the looksmaxxers want is to be SO hot that they can get women _easily_, without putting forth effort, care, or consideration.
More cops have been arrested for using flock cameras to stalk women than there are transgender athletes in youth sports.

It’s the book that inspired Tim McVeigh to do the Oklahoma City Bombing, as well as many other acts of violence. I’d be pretty shocked if Elon hasn’t read it at this point.

I have previously written about one reason that billionaires find the AI story so compelling: at root, many billionaires just don't believe most other people are actually, fully real. How could they? Achieving billionairehood requires that you inflict pain on vast numbers of people. 13/
Apologies if I sound angry, but it is a real problem that the 'smart' commentary on this war is trying hard to avoid the core lesson ("the president is a fucking moron") because it doesn't sound very clever when it is absolutely the most important takeaway from this debacle.

No matter how many times it's proven to be ineffective, somehow the myth of strategic bombing as an effective tactic of war lurches on. I don't get it. This is a really good point here, and something that *could* be shown very effectively in a game.
