#MythAugust (5) So Ma’at is reality. If she is defeated, order, time and space go with her. Her equal opposite is Isfet. Under Ma’at is Ra, the self made god. Under Ra is the other Ennead. Under the Enead are the other deities/demons. Deities and demons are then ranked by generation. 1/3

#MythAugust(4) Deities and Demons are the two factions. Both are pretty similar divine beings. Both can see fate, though deities can see a lot further. The trade off is demons can usually affect fate more directly (hard to see the river when you are in it). 1/3

This #WIPSnips is part of one the scenes I'm hoping my editor can help with. I completely change this scene in every draft. This argument needs to happen, but I'm never sure how to make, IDK, right? I'm not even sure what I missing. CW: (unintentional) Degrading

Heiden’s expression curdled. “So I’m the low fruit you grab after the ladder snaps? You get condemned, and I’m the only one still willing to look at you.” “No! I like you. You’re… different. I’ve never felt the way I do when I’m with you.” “Do you say that to everyone you bed?” “Jokull, I don’t even remember half the men and women I’ve been with.” He realized, instantly, that was the wrong thing to say. She leaned away from him, unable to hide the sneer twisting her lips. “So last nights was a quick thrill before we die. And if we live?” She scoffed. “A coin flip you’ll even remember my name. I can only imagine what you think of me.” He reached for her arm, but she jerked away, already grabbing her things. “Forget it.” The words were clipped. Final. “We should keep moving. #MythAugust (3) All gods, and demons, follow the moral code of Ma'at, which is harmony. The basic idea is order + free will. Things that are valued are appreciated by humans: Truth, justice, ritual, and stable government. But for gods, it a matter of survival, for themselves and reality. 1/2

#MythAugust (2) I'm so engrossed in reading everyone else, I gotta stop to post my own. While there are thousands of deities, the major ones are Ma'at and the Ennead. They created reality and the majority of the other gods/demons. Then there is Isfet who is constantly trying to destroy Ma'at. 1/4

#MythAugust (1) The religion in the Trikruna Kingdom is simply known as the Trikruna Religion. It is Polytheistic, though most people only worship the gods whos domain they are in. All gods posses Ley Line intersections across Ta (the world), and its hard to deny their existence.

So I don't use assist anywhere in my WIP. So I went to the #WIPSnips where I was sure I used it and I actually used the word help. I'm probably going to change it to assist. Some subtext missing here, that's a bit spoiler-y. But this is the end of Aldous's first encounter with the necromancers.

Erica kept her gloved hand trained on the wyvern. The only indication that something happened was the air shivered. But whatever she was doing, it caused the beast crashed into the stone road with a sickening thud. It thrashed wildly, trying and failing to keep its balance. Its talons opened, dropping Berkant with a thud. He made no effort to get up after hitting the ground. What was she doing to it? More importantly, how was she controlling her gem? Aldous’s curiosity made it hard to keep his focus on escape, like there was some key element to using gems he could observe. Heiden gave a frustrated cry of pain, trying to get into her saddle on her own. Oh, shit. He rushed over to help her onto Sandy, then turned to mount Percival. Jade Lawrence
