As someone who's been drawing since I could pick up a pen, I draw for the love of the game. I get art block, I get burnout, I lose motivation. But the drive to create, it never goes out. It's a passion that fuels me and my existence. Creation is a part of me, and I cannot imagine my life without it.
Use reference. I’m serious. I get it that somehow you or someone convinced you that using reference is “cheating.” It’s not. You are just hindering yourself.

This bullshit is extremely common. I walked away from a project doing sound design for AT&T in the 1990s rather than sign a clause like this. In 2023 I refused to sign this type of language for Harbor Picture Company. They said "But everyone signs this!" I refused, had to work as a subcontractor.
