A teeny baby I found at this year's Dino Shindig! Likely a scaphitid ammonite. Finding large vertebrate bones is cool and all, but stumbling on something this small and so well preserved is just as miraculous to me. Very glad I could go volunteer at the Shindig again, hope to me back next year!

They set up emergency medical tents in Central Park. Healthcare worker colleagues died. It is horrific that RFK Jr is on national TV lying that ICUs were empty.

I'm just gonna say: it somewhat baffles me that people who are understandably skeptical of opaque LLMs as legitimate sources of information will suddenly go full on "the computer KNOWS" when they are using opaque tools to "detect" AI. The computer does not know.

FFS. The new @bsky.app CEO appears to be a butthead. The absence of right wing arseholes doesn’t make this a liberal space it makes it a tolerable one. And the platform very much sought to woo those fleeing Twitter and people fleeing Twitter were the non Nazis so yes you did sorta design it that way
