WWF is a legit American classic, they were all directed by Frank Capra and the editor was Bill Hornbeck, who cut all of George Stevens’s and Capra’s films in that period. Capra constructed them as an editorial exercise to impeach “Triumph of the Will” specifically through recontextualization.

I remember coming home from a club one night, opening Netflix, and learning they had Why We Fight and then watching 2 hours of straight propaganda while still intoxicated AF and having a great time. Hearing American propaganda about our brave, multicultural allies the Soviets was a treat.

Edward Bernds is a rare example of a director who came out of the sound department—he worked at Columbia in the 1930s as their head production recordist and did all of Capra’s films, Capra put in a good word for him with Harry Cohn and he got a gig directing the Three Stooges.

Another odd moment occurred when Musk insisted that work in the future would be "optional" because robots would do everything. Musk said people might still work in the future but compared it to people who grow their own backyard tomatoes. He said they could just go to the store for better tomatoes.
