July’s full moon reaches its fullest on 29 July at 3.36pm (BST) / 10.36am (EDT). Native Americans call it the Buck Moon, marking the time when male deer begin regrowing their antlers. It’s also known as the Thunder Moon for July’s storms, and the Hay Moon for the hay harvest.

A large stag rests in grass, seen from behind in profile, its impressive branching antlers silhouetted against softly blurred golden trees.

This area of waste ground in Swansea is *full* of wild flowers, despite the drought and loads of pollinators, bees, butterflies, moths. It'll all be cleared for development one day but just now, more obvious pollinator life here than the dunes! #Pollinators

Prynhawn da, folks! Here's a phone shot of the Typhoon in Wales Air Show which finished today. Great to see so many people on the beach enjoying it. Anything but a quiet Sunday here - hope yours is good! 🥂✨

Bore da and happy weekend! 😎☕️🥐🌻 Swansea beach yesterday evening - really quiet! 💙 It'll be busy this weekend as we've got Wales Air Show on both days. A Typhoon and the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight but no Red Arrows this year.

View west along Swansea beach with ebbing tide ripples, blue sea and wet sand and a single figure walking at the water's edge. Sunshine and sparkles on the sea.
