There are more self-identified Unitarian Universalists in the US than there are Seventh Day Adventists, and both Unitarianism and Universalism are older than SDA (1825, 1793, and 1863, respectively). Yet the former is eliminated altogether and the latter isn’t. What could be the reason?

It's weird that the study of music is split into "150ish years of European classical music" (musicology) and "all other music everywhere from every time period" (ethnomusicology) and the latter is considered the "niche" discipline

This morning in downtown Berkeley I witnessed a flock of seagulls and a small handful of crows (too few to be a proper murder of crows) band together to chase away a single red-tailed hawk. It was impressive on everyone’s part.
