I like that i don’t have to watch it but know when it’s over/they won cause fireworks randomly start going off.

Despite major outrage from users when they initially rolled out age verification systems, Discord plans to make all accounts teen by default GLOBALLY & you have to scan your face or upload an ID to prove you aren't one. www.gadgetreview.com/discord-is-b...
Doubting it, but anyone I know going to the Kitsune show in LA on Sunday? If so, I have a favor to ask.
Please let me know your thoughts. I am not asking whether you like musicals.
Do musicals belong on the show calendar?
Maybe I’m out of touch, but I think if actual teenagers engineered a synthesizer, it would look like a cool energy drink, not playmobile.

Lots has been written about the other trappings of authoritarianism: the gilding of surfaces, racist anti-immigration rhetoric, the demonization of queers and trans people, the brutality. But mass sexual repression hasn't gotten nearly enough attention, and too often it's echoed by the left.
A new op-ed in the Washington Times finally says the quiet part out loud: Fascism demands sexual repression. "Pornography corrodes the exact social foundation that supports national strength... A society marked by loneliness, weakened families and diminished social trust becomes brittle."
Since the lede is a bit buried: @wikipedia.org appears to be engaging in union busting
I'm not happy about writing this, but too many people I care about are hurting, and it's preventable. medium.com/@jakeorlowit... #Wikipedia
It looks like Sarsour was booked into the Clay County Jail in Brazil, IN on 3/30. ICE has repeatedly used Clay County to move people out of the Chicago area. Another detainee in Clay County is Juan Espinoza Martinez, who a Chicago federal jury acquitted in January of placing a hit on Greg Bovino.
Islamic Society of Milwaukee President Salah Sarsour, who is a Palestinian American, has been detained by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency, the mosque said on Thursday.
Also please, submit shows while I’m on tour. Do it for the people that use that site, which I have no analytics to tell you how many, but I know there’s some out there that use it.
In a little over two weeks, I will be gone for 17 days, which will have an effect on new show postings. I do the bulk of the calendar posts, which is time consuming. Due to this, I won’t be able to add new shows then, but anyone can still submit a show on the site by clicking the add event button.
Playing this Thursday with friends for their EP release, which I recorded. Also me and Josh from Okay Omen will battle to see who has the best bass tone (it’s Josh, mine is too messed up sounding in a good way).
Been a minute since posting here. Here are our two upcoming local shows. First, this upcoming Thursday is at MKE Ultra for Depression Nap’s EP release show, which Jay recorded. Okay Omen and Swim Two Birds also play.
FYI—we've watched Dodge County jail transport officers at Broadview before, this is a known connection point for ICE detainees:
Dodge Co. Sheriff is transporting migrants to and from controversial suburban Chicago ICE facility • Wisconsin Examiner
The Dodge County Sheriff's office has been transporting detained migrants to and from the Broadview ICE detention center in Illinois.

I can see the case for both, please think for me.
Since this is a community calendar, I figured I’d ask you all on this, as I’m on the fence. We received a submission for an event in Mequon. The calendar is for shows in Milwaukee and nearby suburbs, but does Mequon count?
Today is International Sex Workers’ Rights Day, a time to support and uplift sex workers everywhere—and a particularly good day to throw some money to the United Brothel Workers in Nevada who were illegally terminated after their historic union drive with CWA went public! ☂️
Sheri’s Ranch responded to the petition for union recognition by firing workers Jupiter Jetson, Molly Wylder, Paloma Karr, Adalind Gray, Genevieve Dahl, and Gwen Bunny. The union will be fighting their unlawful terminations, but for now, they need our support: www.gofundme.com/f/support-sh...

Dispatches from MN: it's getting really hard, guys. The media has left, the donations are drying up, and ICE is still here kidnapping people. It's hard not to be resentful that other people have the option of setting this aside for.other things.
Anyone want to help me buy John Paul Jones’ Lyricon so I can pretend like I’m Chuck Greenberg?
Oops. Turns out Persona, Discord’s age-verification service, was secretly screening selfies against government watchlists AND accessible by the feds. It's backed by Peter Thiel. “The state wants to see everything. The corporations want to see everything. And they've learned to work together.”

Three hacktivists tried to find a workaround to Discord’s age-verification software. Instead, they found its frontend exposed to the open internet.

Clarifying and answering some of your questions about #grok doxxing me. Thank you @noelleperdue.bsky.social and @404media.co for reporting this story. Stay safe, my friends, and FUCK GROK 💚
Someone was abducted at 10 AM by ICE on Central Ave. Their coworker says they’ve lived here for over 20 years, are documented, and have 3 kids who were born here. Don’t be fooled by headlines when they’ve been lying to us the whole time. We still need you out patrolling until every agent is gone.
Just realized this upcoming Monday marks the 10th anniversary of the last Borg Ward show. Still find it very amusing that one of the bands on that show got nominated for a Grammy last year.
