Some people have no idea, like... *everything* smelled bad. Everything. We lived in a hazy, toxic, smelly public world where the furthest you could get from cigarette smoke in busy places was to be in the 'non-smoking' part of a café, which was the same room as the smoking part.

It's not enough to be against AI, you need to be pro art. You need to be a champion of the art you love, you need to share that passion and joy, and do what you can to support the artists who make it, because it's not enough to hate AI, to hate what it's doing to art and media; you gotta love.
trans kids have always been the canary in the coalmine. that's why giving in on "just that" and assuming it would make the goons go away has always been infuriatingly obtuse.

like, there's a lot of rhetoric about meeting voters where they are, but people like Yglesias and Newsom just don't really see trans people as fully human or worthy of equal treatment. they are transphobic on their own behalf, not on the behalf of others.
Another cold blooded execution by ICE today in Maine, just days after the murder in Houston. The only acceptable position for politicians is eliminating the agency. Do not for one minute tolerate any politician calling for "training" or "body cameras." The demand is clear.

DC is, flatly, owed statehood after what they have been through under this man to make sure this shit never happens again
