Brilliant letter from Stuart Thompson to Jeremy Clarkson about his comments that benefit claimants should write weekly thank you letters to tax payers detailing how they spend their benefits each week.

Róża (Różyczka) Goździewska served as a nurse during the #warsawuprising when she was 8 years old, bringing water to the wounded in a field hospital, 82 years ago (Aug-Oct 1944). Her father had been killed by the Gestapo the year before, & she served alongside a 19yo cousin.

Today is Roma Holocaust Memorial Day. Around 500,000 Roma & Sinti people were killed by the Nazis in the Porajmos. There was no state given to them after the war. Commemoration of their suffering is often diminished or forgotten. Racism towards Romani people across Europe remains acceptable.

London in a few weeks for a fun evening as Kate Vigurs and I are grilled by the lovely Peter Caddick Adams! Two wars for the price of one 🫠https://www.hatchards.co.uk/events/kate-vigurs-and-alexandra-churchill-at-hatchards-piccadilly

I’ve been standing stock still in this wood for about 10 minutes while I mess about with a photo on my phone. I look up, notice the shape, and slowly crouch down to film This has made me so happy I feel I could cry. It’s as close to magic as I hope to get.

Very sad to hear about the arrest of Andrew Tate. He has been charged with rape, human trafficking, controlling prostitution and actual bodily harm. I once described him as "an important voice for young men", which tells you all you need to know about my moral compass.

Kilnsey Crag and Fountains Abbey have been two of my favourite places since childhood. Imagine my surprise when I discovered my 14xgr-grandfather kept the sheep at Kilnsey for the monks at Fountains.

Kilnsey Crag in Upper Wharfedale. A massive limestone outcrop under blue skies.
