Ha! Just started new Reacher season but I’ve also been rewatching Buffy and just got to the first college season which is probably the only reason I recognized Riley in Reacher! I don’t think I’ve seen him in anything else since Buffy. I recognized his voice first!

Holy shit I will never use DHL. Waiting for a package, 2nd attempted delivery b/c I wasn't home the first time. I get an email that 4 minutes ago they attempted delivery!! I AM HERE. NO DOORBELL. So I try to call them but literally cannot get through to a human being. I hate this fucking timeline.

People come to New York City from all over the world to experience Broadway. The kids who grow up here should be able to do the same. We’re partnering with TDF to give away over 2,000 free Broadway tickets to NYC High School students at on.nyc.gov/broadway. Break a leg, high schoolers!

Subway etiquette: if you are sat directly next to someone and the seat opens up on the other side of you: MOVE OVER. Especially on hot days where the body heat from your legs is TOO FUCKING WARM. Goddamn, people!

“Silly” is a good way to put it! There were excesses in 2020 but they were mostly low-stakes efforts by well-intentioned people to address real injustices. The excesses of the right during the same era were far more harmful. The reckoning we need now is about how elites lost sight of that.

Libraries make us a harder target for authoritarianism. Equal access to info, ideas, and space that doesn’t require a purchase to belong. Also: using the library means money stays in your community instead of streaming out to Amazon. 📚 What’s checked out on your card right now?

Just came across an email chain from 2013 where I was telling a couple of friends about how One Direction was in my office that day. All but Harry. "Harry's not as much of a comic fan." Just so funny because Harry wasn't HARRY yet (even though OD were huge at the time).

I work at a public library. People who want to use AI seem to have no trouble doing so. People who don't want to use AI have a harder time. I crowdsourced and then finalized this document "How to disable or avoid intrusive AI" and then gave it a short URL: notoai.org Please pass along if it's useful
