They should make some movies with positive representations of liminal spaces. Like when you work at a convenience store and you can go in the walk in behind the drinks. You can smoke back there and steal sodas. Why don't they show that on the movies

Even in arguably ideal UK situations, it's both expensive and challenging to fit most AC units here I'm finding. Lucky enough to own freehold 1950s semi-detached house and have been speaking to installers recently - £1600 minimum for basic split system install (per room), but then oh wait my house

I don't think anything has ever demonstrated just how bad c-suiters are at their jobs as quickly and thoroughly as AI. Practically everyone in an upper management position saw ChatGPT write an email and immediately decided this was the future of every industry instead of a way to write meh emails.

The years of my life I spent thinking the profit motive would protect valuable things. The months I spent in Econ classes making little diagrams to solve problems based on ‘rational self interest’. This came out five years after I finished grad school.
