Important to note that anyone arguing that systemic racism was a fact of American life would get drummed out of any current confirmation process.

I think we can agree that AI detectors are out. But universities are ignoring the fact that faculty cannot really out-design assessments to meet the challenges of this moment. We need sustained institutional support to be the best teachers we can be, and we aren't getting it.
AI Detectors Are Out, New Assessments Are In A growing number of universities have prohibited AI detectors, arguing they are ‘unreliable’ indicators of cheating. But where does that leave faculty, who know all too well that cheating is rampant in the age of AI? https://bit.ly/4wGitF7 #EDUSky

Making Black people feel menaced and unsafe is as critical to the dogma of full-spectrum white safety as being accommodating of all white demands, desires and delusions.
For the past five months the only refugees the USA has accepted are white South Africans fleeing equality & safety meanwhile they are disappearing or strapping ankle monitors on any Haitian they can get ahold of. It needs to be understood how thoroughly connected these two things are.

this should get so much more attention — two states within 3 weeks have made major moves on rights restoration.
A combined 100,000+ people with past felony convictions have either already gained or will soon gain voting rights in Missouri and Virginia, which both have elections today. More: boltsmag.org/gop-run-miss... boltsmag.org/virginia-gov...
Important to know/remember: States are generally terrible at notifying formerly disenfranchised people of their voting rights. Many have no idea they’re allowed to vote. Many more avoid voting because they’re not sure if they can. I wrote about this in Kentucky but it’s a problem all over.

@mollytaft.com on the diverse mix of ideologies that make up the data center opposition. It's a pretty wide range of views, intersecting around a deep distrust of Big Tech. The headline says data centers "broke" US politics, I'd say they've created an opening for a long overdue shakeup.
