When you see the story about how the world now has its first trillionaire, and when you see the story about how laboratories in Congo have run out of supplies to test for Ebola, it is important to understand that in many ways these are the same story.

Remember this, though: Amazon has calculated that poisoning water & making restitution payouts for sickness & even death is CHEAPER than whatever they plan to make on the Data Center. They’re STILL gambling with human lives with impunity.

Amazon will pay $20.5 million to settle allegations that two of its Oregon data centers helped contaminate groundwater. This is exactly why communities across the country are organizing to stop data centers — and winning. Never doubt your power to change the system.
