“Cameras off the president right now”: Authorities forced the press pool to look away as the president had an altercation with his wife--and none of the major outlets have acknowledged this blatant assault on the freedom of the press. fair.org/home/network...

Networks Were Ordered to Stop Filming Trump—and They Didn’t Protest the Illegal Censorship

"Cameras off the president now": The command was an astonishing call for press censorship on behalf of Trump and a direct violation of the First Amendment.

a million pieces/segments sneering at hasan piker and the co-chair of the DSA, meanwhile a republican congressional candidate in upstate new york named peter oberacker is the grandson of an actual nazi germany soldier and his former staffer was part of the 'i love hitler' young GOP group chat

Dolly broke me in early to her raucous self deprecating sense of humor when we began steel magnolias rehearsals i asked her - how long does it take to do a hair do like yours? Dolly - no idea, i’m never there when they do it! i started taking Dolly-isms notes on the back of my script after that

Hate to break it to all the bots, but there is no longer such a thing as "mainstream media" in the US. There are some good journalists and editors approaching total burnout, a large ring of freelancers trying to hang on, and a larger group who are either unemployed or now in other professions.

The Chief Justice blocks orders by two lower courts and allows Trump to continue building his ballroom. Roberts offers no explanation why. And then he complains the public thinks the Court is making political decisions.

I've never seen such an effort to censor a document as I have the Amnesty International report on gender critical groups because of JK Rowling. They removed the report from the Wayback Machine and now I got a DMCA strike on my Google Drive for having it. It was deleted and removed from my account.

A screenshot of an email viewed in dark mode with the subject line "Google DMCA Violation." The email from Google informs the recipient that they have received a notification under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) that some of their materials allegedly infringe on copyrights. It explains the removal process, mentions that notice details will be posted on Lumen, warns against repeated violations, and lists one affected Google Drive URL at the bottomA nearly identical mobile browser screenshot of the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine. It shows a search for the same Amnesty International UK resources URL, resulting in the same message: "This URL has been excluded from the Wayback Machine."A mobile browser screenshot of the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine. A URL for an Amnesty International UK resources page is entered in the search bar, but the page displays the message: "This URL has been excluded from the Wayback Machine."

The next time you hear Republicans in Congress complaining about the national debt, remember that roughly 25% of it has been added during Trump's presidencies — largely thanks to his tax cuts for the rich. The notion that Republicans care about the debt is one of the biggest lies in politics.

Can't get enough of the Natalie Harp stuff. The 1:1 parallels with the girl from Obsession. Everyone in rightwing media pretending she's 16 years old so they can be mad, their favorite mood. The phrase "over-the-diaper handy" entering the lexicon. Keep it up everybody.

some Democrats cheer Ossoff by saying he's moving past "when they go low, we go high" but he isn't going low he's just telling the truth the Trump administration IS an obscenity, and saying so plainly is precisely what needs to be done

what infuriates me about the wnba sophie cunningham stories that quote 0 trans people is that it's a controversy about us that involves none of us and nobody covering it has any interest in what we think or feel about it

LOL, "distracted and detracted from the power of the message." What message? Democrats, as a party, don't have any "message" because their leadership (backed by vestiges like Axelrod) leap in to quash good messaging whenever it bubbles up. "With Natalie" has been a slam dunk with zero downside.

what is it with ex obama people and misreading the room lol? this whole thing sparked a news cycle and endless earned media, feels like a slam dunk to me

New: I asked Florida GOP Rep. Cory Mills if he dated a 19-year-old as a member of Congress in his 40s. His response, in part: "[A]dults are entitled to date in their attempt to find their person. Sometimes you get lucky and find that immediately, but many are not so blessed."

Leadership would focus on what they agree on given our shared goals. A real leader would not focus on gotcha phraseology. This is a bullshit scaremongering and shows a profound misunderstanding of where a major part of the Dem base is today.

WELKER: Do democratic socialists belong in the Dem Party? JEFFRIES: What I can say is I do not support defunding the police, I do not support open borders, I do not support abolishing the Senate. We're focused on actually solving the problems hard-working American taxpayer want us to solve ...

I, like many Americans today, woke up asking the same question I have been asking for 11 years and getting no answer, why isn’t there Paul Blart: Mall Cop 3?

I’m on vacation but I gotta say, as much fun as it is to debate woke1 and Hasan Piker, the Trump administration is currently engaged in mass murder on the high seas as surely as any serial killer or lynch mob. And viewed from the distance of vacation, The Discourse doesn’t seem to give a shit.
