Paris has been praised in recent years for their visionary, progressive city-building, but they don’t get nearly enough credit for just being really pragmatic! Everything they’ve been doing is common sense. They’re moving a lot more people with less space while cleaning the air & cooling the city.

Many Parisians on bikes in a protected bike-lane in central Paris (Rue de Rivoli)Many Paris streets are still chocked with cars, with traffic moving VERY slowly. If the people choosing bikes were all driving cars instead, the gridlock would be even worse — in fact, that’s how it was not many years ago.

im begging you once again to please decouple "evil" from "mentally ill." every time you label an evil man mentally ill you throw the most vulnerable people under a bus. we are not more likely to be prone to violence. in fact, we are more likely to be victims of abuse. please remember that.

Wow... a speaker at the Villages hearing says the plan is fine for the East side... but the West side is far too classy and exclusive, and West side children need to be protected from things that are just fine on the East side.

I read the Villages plan and support new job creations that are very much needed in Vancouver, and half of the villages. Plan for the redevelopment east of Ontario Street. But I oppose the villages plan west of Ontario Street. It is important to consider how new residents of social housing could incorporate into the West Side area as a standard of living, including the price of groceries and daily essential products are so much higher than the rest of Greater Vancouver. How are they able to participate in afford purchasing high end or luxury goods predominantly available on the West Side? Moreover, I am convinced that the safety of West Side children cannot be missed.
