Frankie hits the nail on the head here. This is another act in the genocide of trans people that is taking place, and it is utterly disappointing that the WNBA is not standing up for what has always made WNBA games and fandom so joyful in order to appease bigots.

This is rough but I think it talks about a lot of what is missing from the Cunningham/WNBA discourse. Namely, that trans people are not hypothetical thought experiments. They are real people who are being genocided by our government & any coverage that doesn't center that reality misses the mark.

The whole point of the Bill of Rights is to protect the only true minority - the individual. It limits the governments power to harm the individual. The whole constitution is designed to limit the governments power.

Enrollment ranges from packed classrooms to nearly empty seats as one Republican state senator pushes to give university civics centers more power.

I just saw a post that reminded me of pre-GPS ubiquity and I am amazed anew that I drove by myself from Florida to Ohio for school using just handwritten directions from my dad. And another time I visited my friend in rural Pennsylvania using printed Mapquest directions in the middle of the night.
