As soon as the departure light came on at the front of the shuttle, I stood and grabbed my carry-on before heading for the exit. A few people shuffled forward in front of me. Mostly High Council members and maybe foreign businesspeople. Ma’an wasn’t a big planet and never used to have any thriving industries that extended beyond the planet. But I remembered my poepa once saying the planet did have quality limestone deposits and large, fresh bodies of water, if only the High Council offered them to another planet looking for those resources. I guess Chairman Lo’an must have made smart trade deals with other planets to have enough credits to invest in a space racer team. The cover for 4 United by Jessica E.
