Today I signed an Executive Order for every worker exposed to extreme heat on the job. It requires multilingual heat safety guidance for workers, a review of construction site heat safety practices, and heat illness prevention plans at every mayoral agency.
Some men turn 80 and plant a tree knowing they’ll never sit in its shade. Others turn 80 and strip the orchard bare, cut all the trees down to sell the lumber, pocket the cash, and blame the hungry for not inheriting fruit.

This was a hate crime. Every person pushing anti trans rhetoric contributed to this. Shame on all of them.
