The news out of CFB Wainwright is heartbreaking. The work our men and women in uniform do is inherently dangerous, and them doing it is always brave. We can never forget how indebted we are to those who serve—or what we owe them and their loved ones.

Our thoughts tonight are with the Canadian Forces members at CFB Wainwright, their families, and everyone else affected by this terrible incident. Thank you to the first responders who are on the scene working hard to save lives and provide support at this tragic time.
