Saw this going around and didn't have time to watch it until this morning If I hadn't canceled my NYT subscription ages ago, I'd do it now. Jacob clearly states that the Times uses language which softens the harm the Trump admin does, and their response is "Language isn't as important as knowledge"

🧵🧵🧵 The NY Times posted a 15-minute video today in which I got to tell NYT what’s wrong with its coverage. They said they saw my critical posts on Bluesky and invited me to do a video with them to air my grievances. Weird, right? I didn’t hold back. I blasted their sanewashing of MAGA extremism.

Rumor* has it that my new novel, GUEST SERVICES AT THE MUSEUM OF SEXUAL DEVIANCE (which should be out in Spring of 2028), is my best yet. Watch out!! *from my guy Tony, who has done instrumental, deep editing passes for all my novels to date.

There has never been a greater time to solicit poems from me, as I have just been quietly hoarding about 34 million great poems out of pure dislike toward submitting them the last like 6 years since my first book came out.

EVERY STORY ABOUT BEAVERS FOR THE LAST DECADE READS LIKE: WE RELEASED A DOZEN PADDLE TAILED LITTLE FREAKS AND THEY IMMEDIATELY BEGAN A TERRAFORMING PROJECT THAT REVERSED A CENTURY OF ECOLOGICAL DAMAGE IN THREE WEEKS.

Every single piece of trans history is a blaring klaxon telling us: We can't rip ourselves apart, we must put our preternatural prickliness aside, we can and should disagree greatly but our futures are linked and the stakes are too great, we must figure that out no matter the emotions it raises.

I feel obligated to extend a blanket apology to poets, as I have always said that one should not date poets (I say as a poet myself) and the past few months have basically only been on dates with people who write poems (among other things), and it has been quite nice.
