The pro-peptide stacked FDA advisory committee voted to lift the ban for BPC-157, as expected. This ban lifting is baseless and will give the public a sense of legitimacy for a peptide with no clinical trial data to support safety or efficacy. Pathetic.

MLB pro salary cap propaganda makes me sick. It’s the owners’ fault that there are imbalances, and parity is not an6 better in leagues with caps. Give players 75% of revenue and allow auditing of your books, and then cap all you want. #MLB #baseball

In the lead-up to Kennedy’s confirmation, lots of contrarian medical folks like Vinay Prasad insisted that the only way to restore faith in public health and vaccines was to put the anti-vaxxer in charge. So that was bullshit.

Tetanus is returning. In the 1930s, Tetanus was widespread in the US. The development & deployment of vaccines reduced annual cases from ~ 600 in the 1940s to 17 in 2020. Mortality dropped 99%. There is no cure for tetanus. We have forgotten how life was before vaccines. 🧪 archive.today/c6QVx

Sam Neill insisting on changing the Australian flag in Event Horizon, and the reasoning behind it, speaks to his character so well. For those who don't know, the reason the flag on Weir's costume has the Aboriginal flag, not the Union flag, is because Sam said he hoped by 2047 we'd have changed it.

Back when I used to travel 50 days a year for baseball stuff I would spend a lot of time at libraries in cities I was at to do some work on my laptop. Fun fact - there's a library that shares a parking lot with Jackie Robinson Ballpark in Daytona.

First is the Halifax River, then you have Daytona Beach Shores which is a small half-mile wide land mass that separates the river and the Atlantic Ocean. On that land mass are residences, hotels, and beaches.

Libraries are so cool. Whenever I'm away from home and need a place to hang out between things, I find a library. There's a bathroom, a water fountain, chairs, and I can read, meditate, use the computers, or just be, and no one tries me make me buy anything.
