Treasury just waived oil sanctions on Iran for 60 days — citing "progress." Iran could rake in up to ~$10 billion off that decision alone. In contrast, the Obama admin didn't lift sanctions until a deal was signed and the IAEA independently verified Iran's nuclear compliance.

Olivier George@brainaddiction.bsky.social · 4mo agoThe lead author lost faith that the NIH would reliably fund this type of work and I can’t blame her. It’s devastating when politics gets in the way of doing good science. Right now, we have no active grant supporting this program.

When I joined @jlweiner.bsky.social ’s lab, I told our lab technician Ann Chappell that I wanted to learn self-administration. She gave me a flash drive with every paper Hank Samson ever wrote. I felt like I won the lottery, read every one, and this paper is the ultimate result. Incredibly grateful!
