a stated goal of project 2025 was declaring trans existence an obscenity. • consider yesterday’s executive order • consider the thread below • consider what itch (& steam!) are doing because of hate group pressure on payment processors it’s all the same thread. now is the time to say “no.”
so, this is that. KOSA, SCREEN, internet obscenity definition act—whatever you call it—this is where trans people are declared inherently obscene. can they do that? trans troops were just kicked out of the armed forces for being inherently deceitful & dishonorable, so probably! unless people fight.
The fascists are counting on you finding erotica and porn too distasteful to support. Because they always start here. And even if they ended here, sexuality and erotism are integral components of queer expression. You can't support queer authors without supporting 'nsfw' content.
Okay, well. Queer & especially trans authors of erotica and other content deemed 'nsfw' by major platforms, please drop links to where people can find your stories in the replies. Everyone else: Repost people's links. Stop worrying about the sanctity of your feed & help the most impacted authors.
I have an article series on this for anyone who wants to know about the legal precedent for anti-queer censorship ⬇️⬇️⬇️

It's good to read about the history of queer press because you can see how every move toward censorship is just part of a playbook that has been tried hundreds maybe thousands of times. While censorship laws absolutely do hurt people and make things harder, they never win, and they will never win.

Is history a chain of accidents we survive, or a mirror we refuse to face? When we remember, do we honor the past — or betray it by freezing it in myth? #philhist #BookSky #ebook #history #HistoryBookChat #philosophy #remembrance

Remembrance and Vigilance: Vel' d'Hiv and the Enduring Logic of Exclusion
History does not repeat—but it insists. It leaves behind traces: structures, habits, reflexes. This essay does not examine the Vel’ d’Hiv’ roundup as a tragedy locked in the past, but as a warning we m...

1. History has shown us the cost of hesitation. The rise of fascism in the 1930s was not sudden—it was a slow erosion of international law, met with weak responses and diplomatic cowardice. Hitler did not need to conquer nations in a single blow; he dismantled the post-WWI order piece by piece.
