the thing about genAI is that it could look amazing and be trained in the most ethical ways and not be the product of ghoulish megacorporations and i would still not use it for the same reason home bakers don't just buy their muffins from the supermarket: because i fucking like doing the work
i dislike the notion that "things have to be difficult to be valuable" as a counterpoint to AI, because ime most of the stressors that make my work difficult are the result of capitalism and ableism, not the work itself
