Decide what to be, and go be it. Columbus

One of the most fascinating/saddest/stupidest experiences of my life was seeing how an FTC consent order was drafted (by someone who didn’t know what they were doing), and then how even that person didn’t understand what it said. Not surprisingly, it was not effective!

If there's one thing I've learned from publishing this story is that there is a very, very, very wide chasm between what the law says about all this... and what people *think* the law says and/or *should* say.

My second least part of this inferior website is all the idiot scolds who decide that the best use of their time is to identify as many common words as possible that they find offensive and then accuse random people of supporting genocide or some other terrible thing for using said words.

I’m amazed at how bad music criticism is relative to TV & movie criticism. I’m not sure quite why, but something like 70% of the music criticism I read just misunderstands the music. (Thinking most recently about the Pitchfork review of The Great Divide and a concert review of twenty-one pilots)

When a Democrat praises Lindsey Graham and ignores his vital role in enabling an autocratic takeover of American government, it's because it's all a game to them. It's because they view Congress as a private members club and because they are immune from the consequences of government action.

One challenge in maturity is whether you can swallow enough of your pride to support what is right and just and ethical, or whether your ego will prevent you from ever admitting you made a mistake.

You’ll be so surprised to know that this piece is so incoherent that it doesn’t actually tell you what the left doesn’t want you to do on Father’s Day, and what you should do (apparently?) is to buy the writer’s book (?)

According to my Amazon Echo Show, the “trusted news sources” for daily news briefings are the NY Post and Fox News so I threw my echo show in the garbage.

/3 Anyway, I don’t think Jesse would devote himself to helping get minorities in Europe killed. But I think he would do a multi-part series critiquing and mocking anyone who didn’t want minorities in Europe killed.

Look, I’m sorry but I just can’t believe the Knicks came all the way back. And I bet a lot of my fellow basketball fans feel similarly. This calls into question the legitimacy of their Game Four win.

/2 Also: notice the parallels between Trumpism and the sort of Matt Stoller politics on display here: the notion that what the people really want is to be able to be douchebags in public without any social sanction. The commonality is being assholes; whether it’s for left or right is just cosplay.
