Recently returned from a family trip to the beach. Amongst other things, my son and I flew a kite and with the wind whipping in from the sea it was a lot easier than I remembered. He loved it and for a moment I felt like a kid again. Would highly recommend it.

Today's unexpected municipal discovery is that Glasgow had a small number of women voters up until the 1840s — not for Council elections but in for elections to the almost equally powerful Police Board. Source: S C Oliver (1995) theses.gla.ac.uk/76304/
