I love Talarico and hope he wins. But he’s already raised $70M On the flipside, control of critical state legislatures will come down to seats where candidates raise 0.1% of that. I’ve researched the highest leverage swing district candidates you should donate to secure.actblue.com/donate/donat...

These are anti-MAGA state candidates in *extremely* close races

Jane Kim, the current front-runner for the state insurance commissioner, would make this already unsustainable problem even worse. She wants you to subsidize fire insurance for rich people who choose to live in the urban-wildland interface where wildfires do the most property damage.

This is the first time I’ve ever seen a CA publication speak plainly about both the stakes (and the basic distributional politics involved) The FAIR plan is a ticking time bomb and the primary problem is it promises to insure uninsurable property for rich people. www.latimes.com/business/sto...

Aaaaand that's it. 5-0. 555 Kelly will be on the ballots of Half Moon Bay voters in November. It's absolutely absurd that this is the case, and an indictment of our entire system of planning, but there it is. Let's win this in 4 months!

My point isn’t “this is why the left is bad,” it’s “this is why treating your faction as if it has the Mandate of Heaven will eventually lead you into disaster.” Think for yourself. There are total screwups on every team

let this be a lesson to deal with your feelings of gender anxiety and masculine inadequacy with a hobby or therapy or something and not a high stakes senate election

lol. lmao. imagine being this person in 2026 after the right has celebrated things like "Alligator Alcatraz" and the ICE murders.

it’s kind of ironic that the French government better understands and captures the true aesthetics and ideals of America than the groyper weirdos at the White House posting cringe anti-American MAGAslop

Macron posting Statue of Liberty White House posting Christian nationalist slop

Hey, dumbass: Everett, Washington is the exclusive home of the Boeing 747. Every single 747 ever made, including the 747-8 model gifted by Qatar, was assembled here. So yes, the US can, and DID, build a plane like this - including this one. Nice to see the "president" shit on American Manufacturing

As President Donald Trump boarded his inaugural flight of the new Air Force One, a luxury jet donated by the government of Qatar, he shared his excitement for the new aircraft and its foreign builders, saying the US "couldn't build a plane like this." https://cnn.it/4wcuEsk

Scaling back housing a block from a major rail station is a terrible idea. We need so much more housing, particularly near transit. This continual pressure to scale back housing is a key reason why we have such a deep housing shortage.

yeah you gotta willie horton ken paxton. have the party committees and super pacs run ads explicitly accusing paxton of covering up for a child abuser. “you love your children and would do anything to protect them. so why would you vote for a man who lets child abusers run free”

mtsw@mtsw.bsky.social · 2mo ago

the challenge for talarico and dems will not just be repeating this accusation over and over again, but telling the story over and over again, so that voters understand the words "adam hoffman" as a synecdoche for the entire case against Paxton every time they are invoked.

I get the sentiment, but like Biden's polling was underwater before the debate and only sank lower afterwards. Meanwhile Trump is the only thing holding what's left of the R base together. To what extent does media coverage reflect vs define that perception is up for debate I guess.

Good Trouble@twinkb23.bsky.social · 2mo ago

It will never not be insane to me that President Biden had 10 minutes of a bad debate & the media hounded him & every single Dem if he was going to quit while trump spews insane gibberish multiple times a day & they say nothing.

I don’t understand how days before the election a leading gubernatorial candidate doesn’t understand the biggest CA infrastructure project. Up until a few weeks ago Becerra barely seemed to grasp the housing crisis, with few ideas on how to address it. Why are so many Democrats supporting him?

Greg Greene (he/him/his)@greene.haus · 2mo ago

“‘I’m going to scrap the current configuration, and I’m going to make sure we finish,’ Becerra said. ‘But we’ve got to do it on budget and on time.’” These … certainly are words. They indicate no knowledge whatsoever of the project, but they're words.
