Apparently at around 1:30 PM ET, the main accounts for the No Kings coalition on Instagram were frozen and pulled down. Admins have lost access to the account and are unable to log in. This happened at the peak of the organization's national day of action. Instagram, of course, is owned by Meta.

❗❗❗Mark Zuckerberg's meta just suspended the No Kings Instagram account. I just rushed back from my local No Kings to jump on this. Bottom line, would be helpful for all pro-No Kings folks to elevate the issue and help us get the word out about No Kings today. The Nerd Reich strikes again.

I know America. I know that, in America, we believe in a country big enough for all of us. So, JD Vance, don't you dare come from Ohio to lecture me. You don't know a damn thing about America.

Somebody said "They voted for racism and got poverty" The thing is... social scientists and economists have been saying for the last 50 years Racism is austerity

Lankford: "You can think about where we would be right now based on where Joe Biden was leading us if Kamala Harris would've won and we have had a Democratic House and Senate ... completely different future based on the last election."

People need to understand that the only reason Trump backed down on SpaceX and Starshield so quickly is that he got push back right away, politically and from Ukraine. He is a bully and a coward. Stop criticising Zelensky for standing up to him.

In early 2025, I assumed the Trump regime would delete the Department of Justice’s press releases and other statements related to more than 1,000 Jan. 6 cases. So I downloaded them. We’ve now made them available to the public with a search tool. They can’t erase history. jan6memoryproject.org

Recorded a podcast with Ryan Devans of Tailors' Keep. We talked about how Asian manufacturing nowadays is often better than US manufacturing. This pissed off a bunch of people on Instagram, but I think shoring up US manufacturing requires facing hard facts. Pod preview: pod.link/blamo/episod...

Vladek desperately desires the return of the court that compromised our democracy with Citizens' United and struck down crucial parts of President Obama's legislative legacy. reject this shit. pack the courts. bsky.app/profile/mero...

i'm sorry but people like Vladek just desperately want the political status quo of 2015 back and refuse to acknowledge it was already Bad

a constitutional republic where control of the legislature and executive grants you the opportunity to reshape the judiciary, and this is an outcome that is known to voters, is a *vastly* preferable system to the one we've lived our whole lives with

what I hope this thread makes clear is two things: 1. expanding the court has real problems, and these are valid concerns 2. there are no good options left, and this is the best of the bad ones unless we want to accept a conservative supermajority for the rest of our lives

Troy Jackson: "Elon Musk is running ads for you. In fact, they're running ads in Portland, Oregon, for you. But you also got an ad where you use a Teamster official saying that he supports you. He's asked you for a cease and desist."
