I've been reading a lot of Golden Age superhero stories recently & thinking about how the good guys used to fight the real ills of society but now so many stories involve nonsense cosmic threats with no meaningful stakes. Lavender Jack feels like a return to the roots of superhero comics (& pulps).
It’s absolutely bonkers how often they set him up with a complete softball and he’s like, “Yeah, the thing is, I don’t care about other people. Like, at all. LOL.’

WEDNESDAY EVENING BONUS: My designs for the dragonman uniforms. At first I played around with a more 70s American GI look (green clothes and gear, etc) but that almost immediately turned into Rogue Trooper, so I pivoted into the dark fantasy Kira vibe instead. It's where they're from, after all.
