It's so weird to have a good day and still feel bad. To get a lot of rest and still feel tired. It's such a melodramatic ordeal having chronic conditions. Yeah this stuff still helps, it just doesn't feel like it does.

@lolzygag.bsky.social messaged me a while ago to say Aftertaste cracked her egg. Last night, she wrote, "This book tricked me. This book made me laugh. This book made me cry. This book made me scream. This book made me love. This book made me feel. This book broke me. This book saved me."
I work at a fast food chain. They don't pay enough for me to pay for groceries so i get support from EBT. the fast food chain takes EBT hot meals payments. WHO'S FUCKING GETTING SUBSIDIZED?!?!
Opinion: Mamdani's idea may sound appealing, but it's NYC taxpayers who will take the hit, subsidizing discounts they may never even use.
After 7 years of living here I can confidently say that driving in LA is an absolute dogshit experience. I don't think I've ever had an enjoyable drive in LA.
our healthcare needs are decided by accountants, not meidcal professionals. while this isn't surprising anymore, the fact that people are like "that's just how it is" or even defending it like "well, they have to make money" is the part that makes me want godzilla to stop on financial buildings.
I’m Emoria Specifically, I’m the Emoria who wrote Aftertaste, a novel @samarcand.eurosky.social said is “artful, intelligent, witty, terrifying and true… With Aftertaste, Emoria Weidner has written the ultimate trans egg-cracking novel.” Buy it now: www.pastitch.com/aftertaste-a... #booksky
It never really goes away. The thoughts: "would they have hired me if i wasn't trans?" "would they be attracted to me if i wasn't trans?" "would they have listened if i wasn't trans?" "would they have valued me if i wasn't trans?" it's hard knowing 99% of the world doesn't relate to you.
I started getting followed by some "film festivals" and "writing festivals" and thought "oh, these are cool!" Then I looked a little closer. They're all part of a network that preys on writers, charging us for reviews, and feeding our stuff into slop generators. So I made a list.👋🏻🖕🏻😠
Meanwhile I'm getting annoyed that I have to manually reset when I get caught instead of wanting to fight my way out.

if I ever taught film criticism lesson one would be “you being smarter than the movie is not interesting to anyone”
The hardest part of being a writer actually is that setting stuff up is so so so easy. paying it off is fuuuuuucking hard
what's it like being poor and disabled josey? "people ask me to watch their cats while they go out and live their best life a lot"
yes i changed a tire with press on stiletto nails. yes 3 came off in the process. yes i glued them back on. because i am a motherfucking lady.

Seeing people share the version of the progressive pride flag that DOESN'T include the intersex part of it has been royally pissing me offf. If you don't include intersex people in your solidarity & activism then your solidarity and activism are dog shit. 💖
Patreon.com/emoriaweidner I’ve been working on my second novel and releasing chapters exclusively to Patreon. If I get to fifty subscribers, I’ll start writing a THIRD novel, and post it live to Bluesky, just like I did with Aftertaste originally. Come join in on the trans fic fun 🩵🩷🤍🩷🩵

the helpfulness i am referring to at the start of this quote is that reading this book helped me to recognize that as a nonbinary person i am also trans, regardless of if i do anything medically or surgically *i am still trans*.
“There is no better vehicle than literature for understanding the hearts and minds of people i am not, and a well crafted story, no matter how personal or specific, will speak to the universal humanity in others. And Emoria, that was one hell of a well crafted story.” @hockeybabbler.bsky.social 🥰🥹
I'm a puppy girl, but i know i'm not a furry or therian, because if i was animal style fries would just seem normal to me.
i transitioned because the council of men called me in and told me i needed to stop being so cool. then when they did the science and found out i couldn't be less cool, i had to be a woman. sorry, it's just science...
How avoidant are the people in LA, Josey? They all don't use turn signals because that level of clear communication makes them uncomfortable.
