PJ.2.1 seems a likely *parental* lineage for our winter wave this year. It's clearly got teeth, but given its very high ACE2 binding and low immune escape, I expect it'll be an off-shoot of it that'll gain traction. Maybe even a near-complete sweep, which has been a while.

I also find it ironic billionaires chasing longevity while overlooking something as basic as clean air, despite evidence that multiple pathogens accelerate dementia and other neurodegenerative processes. Living longer is great. But what’s the point if your brain doesn’t come along for the ride?
