Thinking about how a girl at Christian summer camp asked me if my dad was in Al Qaeda and I got in trouble for asking if her dad was a Klansman bc “her question was understandable”

Two more years of John Fetterman before Pennsylvania can elect someone without a traumatic brain injury. There needs to be a way for citizens to recall their elected officials. Being stuck with a stroke victim for 6 years is ridiculous.

it's wild how republicans will be like "governing is bad, also elect me to govern you" and people do and they put their promise into practice and don't govern, run everything off a cliff, bankrupt everyone, light the world on fire, and after a while people forget about that and let them do it again

I'm starting to wonder if the AI interview I took was a scam. There were some yellow flags, but the CEO's profile seemed legit. He is even connected to some of my connections. But now I'm wondering if the interview was used to train the model instead of looking for an actual applicant.

We really need JD Vance to become president before January. I don't want that fucker eligible for two terms as president. (Not that I think he could win two terms, but it's getting harder to trust our elections, so who wants to risk it?)

Imagine being talented and beautiful and rich and famous and still the most noteworthy thing about you is how good a person you are.

I'm a huge Star Trek: Strange New Worlds fan, but this week's episode is the fourth gimmick episode in a row, and it's getting harder to defend the show against its haters. It really feels like they're leaning in to the Strange more than the New Worlds aspect of the title.

Vaccines do not cause autism. Autism is not something to be fixed. Autism is not something to be cured. My autistic friends, you are autistic joy. Thank you for being wonderful you ✨ Sincerely, Your Autistic Library Friend 💛

I saw Spider-Man: Brand New Day yesterday. Now that I know Marvel is capable of this kind of storytelling, I am even less interested in Avengers: Doomsday. Brand New Day is like Wayne Gretzky. If you made it worse, it would still be the best MCU film. It's that far ahead of the rest.

While I try to walk the difficult tightrope that is AI use, I found myself firmly in a "Don't do that" camp today, as a young man was complaining about how people didn't like his AI story. He felt he had done "most of the work" by creating a complex prompt.

I lost out on a senior product manager role to someone who was a chief product officer in their last position. They went from CPO to SPM. How the hell am I ever going to find work?

Someone made the best observation following the Doomsday trailer: The MCU has officially reached comic book parity. You have a forced crossover with all your popular titles even if it doesn't make sense for the stories they were telling because everyone will buy it anyway.
