I’m all for holding elected officials accountable, but this is just silly commentary from The Seattle Times. All I’ve gathered from this morning’s paper is that The Times really dislikes Katie Wilson and income taxes on the über-wealthy.

Just got home from Portland. The Pearl District and Northwest Portland (Nob Hill) have so many urbanist gems: - modal filters in the Pearl - a dedicated pedestrian bridge (yay!) over I-405 (boo) - lots older stacked flats with balconies and porches in walkable + trendy Nob Hill
Someday we’ll be having a similar conversation about connecting Ballard to Northgate via Link Light Rail… I hope

My survey comments: - The intersections of Queen Anne & Boston + Crockett need traffic calming. Those are dicey crossing areas for 🚶♂️. - The painted crosswalk at Queen Anne Ave. and W. Garfield St. needs a curb extension where 🚙 are parked diagonally. Also… why is this survey mostly about cars?
