lex luddy@lexluddy.xyz · 12h agoI feel like I have given the folks at Console Creatures a lot of the benefit of the doubt today However, instead of acknowledging any potential wrong doing they have simply changing the author page to remove references of Cariati's day job in PR, which is also a very bad look.
If someone says "Reviewing video games will you work in PR is an ethical red line nobody should cross," and you respond with "why don't you worry about getting a job?" you are a monumental asshole. Doing it to a trans women in this space, in this job climate? That's a bad look even for an asshole.
James Galizio@theswweet.myatproto.social · 16h agoTelling a freelancer to "get a job" when she questioned whether a person who works in PR for a company covering a tangentially related product was odd or not looks absolutely rancid even without considering it was an offshoot of a conversation about how much of a sausagefest games media has become.

Mass Effect was my ultimate white whale, my all-time dream project. For the last couple years I'd been in discussion w/ BioWare & EA to take on the project & as part of that I wrote close to 20 minutes of music to explore where the franchise can go next, may as well share it!
Mass Effect and Dragon Age are so incredibly special to me and the people behind them deserve so much better. I have so many feelings but can't find the words.
