Important: Trump’s executive order is NOT legislation. Though the executive order promotes more misinformation about vaccines, nothing has changed about the availability of childhood vaccines. For evidence-based guidance, please follow and share American Academy of Pediatrics recommendations.

Summertime and the living — in the USA — ain't easy. No U.S. law guarantees paid vacation time. Workers in the UK, Sweden, France, Denmark, and Austria by law annually get at least 25 days off. Americans, overall, average just 10 days off per year. @jschmittwdc.bsky.social cepr.net/publications...

We’ve update our Medicaid enrollment tracker and the news for children isn’t good. Since January 2025 there has been a shocking drop of 2.3 million kids enrolled in Medicaid/CHIP. This means the child uninsured rate is likely going up.

An estimated 1.2 million uninsured adults fall into the Medicaid coverage gap — earning too much for Medicaid but too little to be eligible for ACA subsidies — in the 10 states that haven't expanded Medicaid. Get the latest data: https://on.kff.org/3Rki2Rr

Diagram shows the coverage gap in states that did not expand Medicaid. The coverage gap exists because some states did not expand Medicaid under the ACA to cover adults under age 65 without dependent children with incomes at/below 138% of the federal poverty level (FPL)
