We are incredibly grateful for the endorsement of the Democratic Congressional nominee for NY-7, my fellow @uaw.org sibling running for office, @claireforny.bsky.social.
Money out of politics. Money in your pocket. Medicare for All. Michigan... We won. I am so proud to be your Democratic nominee for US Senate. Let's win in November.
From Beacon Hill to DC, we're tired of the bosses in the halls of power. It’s time to send in the union organizers. We’re part of a national movement fighting for working people and democracy. I’m proud to be running for office alongside fellow @uaw.org member @claireforny.bsky.social
if we're talking about a band specifically, I would have to say Talking Heads - Fear of Music - Remain in Light - Speaking in Tongues if we're talking about an artist Bjork - Post - Homogenic - Vespertine
What's the best three album run from a band? (the correct answer is Moving Pictures, Signals, and Grace Under Pressure by Rush, but I'm excited to learn second place)
Like, just sitting here watching Blacksky develop as a third party who teaches CS, and especially CS as it applies to social platforms... the sheer amount of correct decisions made in every situation so far is STUNNING. Please, students, if you're going to learn from an example, that's the one.
genital inspections to play sports are wrong at any age, but requiring them pre-puberty is a real “the cruelty is the point” moment
Can't think of a thing that will radicalize a generation faster than "you've gotta let that old man in the corner over there see what's inside those pants before you play Kindergarten volleyball."
one of the worst aspects of being in a car-centric city (i.e., Charlotte NC) that is also rapidly developing without ample public transit, is that property owners and towing companies are scheming together by forcing you to scan a QR code and "check in" in the parking lot of a cafe. insane stuff
UGH I wish I could have made it, but im so happy to see that BDSA members are turning out 🥲. GO EVAN!!!!!
The supporters for @evanforcambridge.bsky.social this afternoon WERE OUT IN DROVES. I'm so happy that the @sunrisemvmt.bsky.social, @bostondsa.org, and others are helping us fight for a better future. 🌹
maybe it's optimistic of me (i do love optimism) but when the majority of cis people's interaction with the concept of transness is through headlines and transphobic media, i think it's powerful what the basics of being a good person can do while visibly or openly trans. we'll win, but not in a day.
Reminder that we published an extensive interview with a former editor at The New York Times who laid out, in detail, how the paper's pushing of anti-trans bigotry was both very intentional and directed from the very top of the organization. The NYT plays a direct and major role in trans genocide:
'A directive from above': Former NYT editor lays out how the paper pushes anti-trans bigotry
In this in-depth interview, former New York Times editor Billie Jean Sweeney details how the paper shifted towards openly promoting anti-trans hatred, how some staff tried to stop it, how it's directe...

genuinely what the hell was the point of this feature 😭
Update: Google just sent me a statement saying it is “rolling back” this AI feature that let anyone make completely bullshit satellite images. Comes after our demos of the tool and those from OSINT researchers. One of the worst AI tools I’ve ever seen bsky.app/profile/jose...

Unsurprising that all these cuts being made to #Harvard —from the Office of Student Services to the Writing Center to now the Dudley Co-op—are happening with input from McKinsey, a firm made up of The Second Worst People I knew in college there

What the fuck?? “While Mr. El-Sayed is fringy and radical, he’s also a Muslim man. Ms. Stevens is a white woman. This puts her at a disadvantage in the identity Olympics that internal Democratic Party politics have become.” www.wsj.com/opinion/free...

conservative christians will really traumatize children with rapture theology and the threat of eternal damnation should they not believe the right things, but then turn around and cry about rainbow dinosaurs -_-
"Our Governor just signed legislation that protects children from accessing adult material online. This event mocks the very protections so many have fought for by exposing preschoolers to adult material that is not only inappropriate, but far beyond their level of cognitive development." The book:

What a #inspiring story! This man shopped around for healthcare in The Free Market and ended up needing to pay only $5,000 for his potentially life-saving surgery. The system works! 😃
Ronmel Rangel had no health insurance. When the estimated cost of his hernia repair exceeded $20,000, he was able to save thousands by shopping around hospitals and surgical centers.
