The NYTimes is an op to undercut liberals
Once again we see the difference in how election maps are visualized. On the left, we have the map from Washington Post, and, on the right, the one from The New York Times. Same map, same election results, massively different image.
alex pretti renee good rest in power
first black woman governor, a latina governor, a native american woman senator, an openly gay senator…woke is back folks
Not everything can be good tonight I guess
It’s not looking good folks
elon musk spent hundreds of millions of dollars demonizing trans people in texas and democrats flipped the entire fucking state trans rights forever baby
I know everybody is understandably focused on the US Senate, but it looks to me like more than 75% of Americans will reside in states with Democratic governors, which seems like a very very big deal too.
It’s incredibly important to recognize that Democrats running up the score so high they exceeded the margins of fuckery is not a sign of democratic health. It is a time-limited reprieve to secure the government before we lose it. This was the failure of the Biden Era that cannot be repeated.
Honestly in shock. @nytimes.com terminated the contract of romance fiction columnist Olivia Waite because she reposted on Bluesky criticism I and @markjacob.bsky.social had of the paper’s lack of coverage of the new rape allegations against Donald Trump. Details and a statement from Olivia here:

Extremely unscalable and impractical but also extremely cool
Gemma 4 is running in Low Earth Orbit! 💎🛰️ Project Suncatcher ran the first ML inference on data-center TPUs in space: 4 TPUs in a ~1 kW solar envelope running Gemma 4 onboard and beaming a haiku to Earth: https://blog.google/innovation-and-ai/technology/research/google-project-suncatcher/
Who wants to go in on a Kimi node with me
My preference for the future of inference looks a lot more like collectives or shared compute. For example, I'd love to go in on a Kimi node with a large group of people, and allow us to pay for GPU time and get unlimited (if delayed) tokens.
Holy shit the Mexico City Dia De Los Muertos parade this year is stunning stuff www.instagram.com/popular/mexi...
Trying to convince my non-computer-touching friends that AI is not inherently evil is a very difficult task Also trying to convince them that we don’t know if AI has an internal experience yet
DoorDash/Instacart merger should probably be blocked on antitrust grounds
I need to stop letting Opus railroad me into not letting my agent make weird dreams. Time to switch to DeepSeek
Underrated election story is California voters are about to approve Super Prop13 and permanently fuck over state and local finances for the foreseeable future, and it’s being bankrolled by billionaires mad about Prop 40
