Middle aged INFJ feminist killjoy. She/her/w̶o̶m̶a̶n̶ person. Fast, thorough, and sharp as a tack. Smitten, my own invention, 3 miles of bad road. My whole existence is flawed. Psych student. Buddh-ish. Books + food A bit bossy.🩷💛🩵♾️ 🌐 Wolastokuk

Actually saw another person at Costco (besides my partner and me) wearing a mask. I made an effort to try to smile with my eyes as they passed, and they made an effort to come over and say hi and compliment our masks. We are so few and far between these days.

Mom's side - I'd be more comfortable in the paper mill where my grandfather worked than as a waitress, which was my grandmother's only paid job that I know of. Dad's - my grandfather did carpentry and odd jobs, and my grandmother was a stay at home wife/mom. It was more like 80-90 years ago tho.

Enough “what would you do on the commune questions” If you got sent back 100 years and were given your grandparent’s job, what are you doing?

When WestJet ruins your vacation tomorrow I need you to remember that workers going on strike is why you have a vacation in the first place

Film you’ve watched more than six times. Hard Mode: No Star Trek, Star wars, LOTR, any Marvel, Disney or Ghibli (not hard at all but okay) Just watched this again the other night, with director commentary from John Boorman!

Nobody wants predictive data models to stop working for the people in medicine. Or translating ancient Pompeii texts. Or the other ways we were already using it. We want it to stop replacing workers, killing the environment, and stealing from artists. Hope that clarifies.

AI cures cancer.

Bluesky: actualky the AI didn't really cure cancer. Just predicted the next most likely word in a loop until a solution to cancer was extruded
