That's not genAI, that's computer programming that's been around since the 90s. My dad is a computer scientist who developed the non-linear algorithms for it, using mammograms. GenAI bros want us to think it's all the same so we think positively of their crap, but one is actual science.

I've heard people make claims that AI would lead to a new Renaissance, but I didn't imagine it'd happen like this:
I guarantee you AI won’t kill us all. The claim’s a projection of reckless rich buffoons who can’t wait to be the only humans alive, openly fantasizing about a cull. Again. I’ve never been scared of AI, but the megalomaniacs forcing it on us are terrifying. I can’t guarantee they won’t kill us all.
Announcing the merger with Titanic footage is an incredible bit
Sorry Andy, completely disagree. There's no debate, and one is not "just ahead of the other" It's Birmingham, Birmingham is the second city, I don't care how much Manc become like London, it won't change my mind www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

The Daily Mail poll on Instagram. A strong pro-EU preference in their (presumably younger) audience.
This is exactly why I don't throw AI at artists, even if I'm sure it might be. Mostly because sending mean messages makes me sad but also, these LLMs got trained on a lot of talented artists' work. Some people just draw like that.
Wow. LOISH got accused of using Ai to make her art. I started following her on early deviantart. I remember first seeing her paintings in college. This is ridiculous, no one is safe. Artists Ive followed for actual decades are getting harassed because their work has been stolen and regurgitated.
When AI takes over, shut off the water to the data centers and let the data centers overhead. Easy way to stop Skynet? Let it overheat and burn out the fans.
In March 2025, Kyoto's Kurumazaki Shrine made an AI-drawn shrine maiden its X profile picture. The shrine was bombarded with up to 50 calls a day and a flood of abusive emails. It ultimately deleted its account.

Oh what fucking fools these mortals be To be or not to be, that's the fucking question When shall we three meet again? In thunder, lightning, or fucking rain?
Ok don’t let’s get carried away but I found something genuinely good on Threads.
Makes sense. No one wants to move there, and those with the resources to leave, do.
Deaths now outnumber births in reliably Republican counties for the first time since at least 1982. We explain how this may already be affecting voting patterns in America bit.ly/471apDL
Resharing this old GF art because of the art show, the art book, and the crazy amounts of cool new stuff on the website! Goddammit I love this show. I miss it all the time ;-;
once again the actual "story" behind Tilly Norwood is how the company's PR firm continues to get these stories placed in ostensibly legit outlets over and over despite zero demonstration of the supposed phenomenon being written about ("AI movie star Tilly Norwood") being real
A better way to phrase this Variety headline would be "Publicity Seeker Who Invented A Program Continues Long Con"
Fuck the Bible I obey the 10 Twilight Zone commandments 1 Don't trust aliens 2 The only good Nazi is a Dead Nazi 3 Nostalgia can be toxic 4 Don't trust Ai 5 Greed always has a price 6 Death can be kind 7 Don't be racist 8 Dont trust the government 9 change is good 10 It was earth all along
