Throwing away perfectly good food while people are going hungry is immoral. In addition there's the animal suffering & additional loading of the atmosphere with GHGs. Supermarkets are therefore corporate criminals but hey expect much BS from their spokespeople. petition.parliament.uk/petitions/75...

Petition: Ban all supermarkets from throwing away edible food & require their donation

Everyday, UK supermarkets throw away tonnes of edible food while millions of people rely on food banks to survive. We believe this is wrong, and that food that is safe to eat should not end up in bins...

The UK will not have enough water for future datacentres. England faces 5bn litre a day shortfall for public water supplies. A trillion litres of water a year lost to leaks. Widespread hosepipe bans. No national grid for water. Poor infrastructure. No national plan.

Something feels deeply broken. Canada is burning. Around 1,000 wildfires. Europe has just experienced a heatwave estimated to have killed more than 20,000 people. The climate crisis is accelerating. Yet our political response is moving in the opposite direction.

Softly whispering to yourself that building a pipeline's the only way for Canada to survive Trump during the fastest #EnergyTransition in all of human history, no matter what cost to Canadian taxpayers is just staggering self deception from a lot of folks you'd think know better #cdnpoli #MarkCarney

I remember his champions telling me I was #MapleMAGA for having dared to call out the obviously rotten #ClimateChange moves of #MarkCarney. That really happened, more than once. Most now turned the corner from "never happen, no private partners" to "pipelines only way to survive Trump" etc #cdnpoli
