So funny watching the media try to write 2000's era Grand Theft Auto Outrage articles now that the whole country is a casino run by murderers.

Can't believe these Ivory Tower academics left merely because the American government decided it should arbitrarily revoke research funding and visas, dictate what scholars publish & teach, and send students & assistants to concentration camps.

More brain drain: “Twenty-one universities in Canada announced on Thursday the hiring of dozens of researchers to join their top academic ranks, poaching the majority of the recruits from the United States. Of the incoming 64 researchers, 48 will leave American campuses…”

Dolly Parton knew what it was like to struggle as she fought for working families her whole career. From providing free books to kids to giving working women our "9 to 5" anthem, she was an icon and an inspiration. Rest in power to our union sister. We will always love you.

Okay, B2 flyovers are cool, but I kinda want that taxpayer money going into repairing the roads around the DC area instead. There's still some pretty significant damage from the ice storm in January and we're forced to either weave around giant potholes or risk destroying our cars.

I don’t think anyone is ready for the storm of neurodivergent rage that is brewing. We have a whole class of people we’ve trained to analyze systems and use that knowledge to make things happen, and you’re going to take away their pipettes and mass specs? They’re 100% intrinsically motivated.

“It may feel like we’re having an unusually large number of earthquakes, but statistically, this has been a fairly normal year,” said Wendy Bohon, a geologist who studies earthquakes. Here's why it seems like we're having more earthquakes lately, and what we can do to prepare for The Big One.

Why Are There So Many Earthquakes Happening? We Asked Geologists.

The recent string of earthquakes are a reminder that we need to be prepared for “The Big One.”

The one-day planned outage of the DI water line supplying the wing of my work building has ballooned into an 8-day (for now) outage. Things in the isotope lab may be about to get interesting, seeing as we rely heavily on ultrapure water systems that need that DI line and our reserve is getting low.
