Laputa was my first memory of seeing anime as well. The tape I had was worn out and recorded off the TV, but damn if it didn't spark my imagination. Love it to this day. And the music!!!!!! Man, don't get me started! ❤️
Alex Kanaris-Sotiriou@kanaratron.bsky.social · 2w agoMy first Ghibli film was Laputa. I watched it on terrestrial TV as a young kid and has no idea what it was, just that it was amazing. 15 years later I watched Princess Mononoke at University and it unlocked a magical half memory.
I love this stupid fucking meme. It's ruined the film for me, but I can't stay mad at it.
