AP calls a DEFEAT for Kansas Amendment 1, which would have replaced the current merit-based selection of state Supreme Court justices with partisan statewide elections. GOP wanted this change to try to overturn a ruling protecting abortion rights, but voters emphatically said no.

Nothing I love on Bluesky more than seeing a bunch of accounts I follow outraged at some post and when I scroll to see what they're bashing all I get is "Blocked." You do not have to argue with idiots on the interwebs (I have to tell myself this multiple times per day)

I feel like satire should go just a tad bit farther to disguise the actual people it's satiring. Part of the fun of satire is being enough in-the-know to discern the targets. Verbatim quotes are like tying a deer to a tree at a corporate hunting retreat.

Dear university IT, it would be super helpful if you included on your website a way to report an outage in one part of your web resources (i.e. the library). Even just a phone number would be nice.
