Frustrated in Alberta

Two different headlines, same day. Canada is on fire. Smoke everywhere. Yet Prime Minister Mark Carney and the Alberta Oil Premier want us to pay for another $40 billion tar sands pipeline We need massive public and private investments in renewable energy, not more planet-burning fossil fuels.

Air quality has reached very high-risk range due to wildfire smoke. Conditions are expected to remain high-risk Friday before improving this weekend. Please limit time outdoors, strenuous activity, close windows, and check in with those at risk. If you need to be outside, consider a N95 mask.

Booze is the national priority??? Not: The privatization of healthcare? Many without a family doctor? Wildfires? Heat waves? Climate change? Housing? Homelessness? Grocery price gouging? Sustainable energies?

🚨 How to search for Parker on your property 🚨 Many people have asked what we mean when we ask residents to "check their property." In this video, Sergeant Chris Martin demonstrates how to properly search areas where Parker may seek shelter.

🔎 UPDATE #5 - MISSING CHILD - PARKER 🔍 We continue to ask for the public's help in locating Parker, 11 & are providing an update on the extensive search & investigative efforts underway to find him.

I'm remember 1979, during the Iranian hostage crisis, when Canada took 6 American diplomats into its embassy, hid them, and got them safely out of Iran with Canadian passports. There were signs of all kinds across USA that said "Thank You Canada!"

Let's do some Canadian pipeline-wildfire math. The Canadian Energy Center says growing oil exports by 1.5M barrels/day **could** boost GDP by ~31B annually. Meanwhile, wildfire smoke health costs alone - just the health costs, nothing else - averaged 23B/year, past tense. And they're growing fast.

Probably more helpful to think of them not so much as “Canadian wildfires” but rather “climate change wildfires currently consuming Canada”

Once again disinformation prevails over facts when it comes to Carney. The Carney gov’t sent an embassy official, is not a participant, and 60 other countries did the same, including all G7 countries. Observers were sent for a reason. The Trump regime is upending its counterterrorism. #cdnpoli

Ah yeah this is why we need solidarity with our American comrades. Huge yikes for Carney while part of Canada burns right now ;_;
