It's genuinely a massive problem that the median voter both 1) believes "criminal illegal immigrants" to be an astronomically more serious threat than they actually are, and 2) believes that the legal immigration process is substantially easier than it actually is.

I understand your position, but those are different situations. People straight up both envision a system much milder than exists and cannot imagine a modern world without that imaginary system. By default they have no real grasp of reality on the matter, but are usu. sympathetic to individuals.

If you’re an establishment Democrat who is concerned about Democratic socialists taking over your party, you should support proportional representation. The current two party system forces us into the same party—let’s make a new party system and let the voters decide.

Valencia Street easily has more bike commuters during rush hour than cars, yet people will still complain that “no one uses them.”

The guilt some people have around ebikes is really a shame. Just working with an older gent who is looking to electrify. His main concern was he didn't want others to judge him. I assured him that the only opinion that mattered about what was between his legs was his own. Why is this happening?

The U.S. Forest Service isn’t managing forests anymore. It’s running a timber operation and poisoning everything else to do it. A yearlong investigation by Mother Jones found that the Forest Service and private logging companies are systematically spraying thousands of

CNN hosted a debate for #CA governor, but there's no way to watch it without a paid subscription. I do not get why not all debates for a public office aren't hosted on public broadcasting, or at least are made available for free.

Imagine a European leader coming to California and attacking the federal government, like JD Vance just attacked "EU bureaucrats" in Hungary.
