✨ What a night! Last week we launched our 5‑year, £6mil SPROCKET Innovation Hub at London Scottish House. ❤️ Parents Terry & Angela Logun, @kallmemeg.bsky.social and young person Ryan Aoudjet shared moving reflections on why transitions matter.
“Not all problems that are faced are solved, but none are solved unless you face them.” Professor David Lane shows why SPROCKET starts with listening and surfacing real experiences. @kallmemeg.bsky.social @chrischirp.bsky.social

Any suggestions on what to do on a city break to Lisbon??
Let's get real, after 15 years of inaction, Labour has come up with a plan to help parents with SEND children but it's not good enough I keep hearing. Will anyone say it is going in the right direction? I mean... Labour could have done fuck all like the tories for 15 years.

Did you know? In 2024, the govt had to rename the statutory enquiry process for DA deaths to ‘Domestic Abuse Related Death Review (DARDR)’* because suicide is the most common cause of death in domestic abuse cases. (was Domestic Homicide Review)

[exahusted, under-resourced parent] I just want what’s best for my kids [info environment] here’s a ton of bullshit [public health guy] I empathize, trying to find what’s good and what’s not is really hard with all the bullshit [bluesky] you, personally, have murdered these kids. I must post.

Sir Chris Whitty: Relying on weight-loss drugs to stop obesity would be 'societal failure'
England's top doctor says the drugs should be for a minority and more effort is needed to prevent obesity in the first place.

SPROCKET led by @ucl.ac.uk exists because children with complex needs still face fragmented, siloed services, even as the government’s SEND Reform white paper calls for major change. Infographics here for the quick overview. 1/3

🧵What is going on with Measles in England? UKHSA has reported 96 confirmed measles cases since 1 Jan 2026, concentrated in London (64% of cases) and the West Midlands (26% of cases). But what does this all mean? Is 96 a lot? Why is it happening? And what can we do about it? 1/8
I’ve been reading before bed instead of doomscrolling and my mental health has improved and I’m getting better sleep. I’m also down to 3 hours screen time per day. Another annoying win for “making good decisions” See also: quit drinking, reduce caffeine, eat healthy, exercise.
We pride ourselves on being a democracy and yet there’s a medieval theocratic anachronism in the heart of parliament: 26 bishops with automatic seats in the House of Lords. (The only other country in the world with clerics automatically entering a government is… Iran).
Great news. MPs should also pay attention to our campaigns: ● Remove the 26 bishops Religious office should not grant automatic voting rights in a parliamentary democracy. ● Scrap parliamentary prayers Attending prayers should not to provide speaking advantages🧵 observer.co.uk/news/politic...
So proud to be involved in this project for my little boy 🥰

I made a map of 3.4 million Bluesky users - see if you can find yourself! bluesky-map.theo.io I've seen some similar projects, but IMO this seems to better capture some of the fine-grained detail

I have no interest in trying to dunk on anyone but there is absolutely no evidence for this at all. SARS-CoV-2 has not been demonstrated to make you more susceptible to other infections by impairing the function of your immune system.
