“Nice ring.”

“Oh, this old thing?” Fluttering her eyelashes at him, she slipped it onto her ring finger. “Didn’t you hear? We’re betrothed.”

His hand drifted up to idly rest on his breastbone, and drily, Ben replied, “We often are.”

Ben and Rey are time travelers who solve literary mysteries. They're also fake betrothed. Soon-to-be fake married. And one of them has been pining for the other for years and years and years.

i'm sick of the liars and the bull shit you see on social media. taco bell is NOT the same 4 ingredients wrapped in different shapes. they actually innovate the menu a lot. but you won't see them say that on the fake fucking news

*standing up on the plane* healthy participation in fandom demands the ability to engage with a text from two different directions simultaneously, in which it is BOTH a piece of media in the real world of which you are obligated to permit public critique, AND an imaginary landscape where you are God

*standing up on the plane* No, getting together a TV couple with will-they/won't-they romantic chemistry is NOT a mistake. You may be listening to conventional wisdom about the TV show Moonlighting, but as has been comprehensively shown by an array of critics, that program's problems had nothing t-
