Another annoying bit: I am missing two silicone spatulas, a softer black one and a stiff blue one. I know I still had them because I cleaned them a couple of weeks ago but they are neither in the cutlery drawer nor the utensil pots. I bet I randomly find them tomorrow...

This was even better than the first episode. My favourite bit was:"oh god, I hope I didn't hurt anyone! Oh, it was just a Tesla. Phew" but it was all good. Excited to listen to the rest of these!

You know what's annoying? When you cook too much rice but what's left over isn't enough for a whole portion you could use the next day.

It actually rained a bit and is still drizzling. Downside: Humidity has spiked. :(
Temp is approaching 20C. Time to batten down the hatches so it stays coolish inside. There's a 50% chance of rain at 10. *crosses fingers*
keep getting skies like this that just blow on past without leaving anything, edging a whole county
"No one's sure why" because we have perfectly good computers sitting around that can't upgrade to Windows 11 and all the new hardware costs too much that's why
it is, at long last, the Year of Linux on the Desktop. www.techspot.com/news/113326-...

There are at least four cats in my immediate area and who've visited my patio: a small tuxedo, a grey one, a white/brown/black one and just now an orange/white one. Now to make friends with them...
I've never used ChatGPT. If I'm absolutely honest, although I've heard of Claude, I'm not 100% sure what it is. I've never knowingly used an #AI tool. To me, this post reads like 'If pre-sliced cheese was suddenly banned, would you even know how to slice cheese manually?'
Guys like this don’t realize that they are the freak
Training as a GP in the late 70s. I quickly read the notes for a patient as I walked in and said, "now it says here that you've lost a lot of weight, lately." And he had, because his left leg had been amputated after a car crash. He was remarkably good humoured about my gaff.
Here we have a pup enjoying the fruits of his labor after a hard day's work. 13/10 good for him
When we put in our second garage we had to remove one of the two clothesline bracings, and we haven't removed the other one yet, so now it looks like we have a random wooden cross in our yard, which I feel offers more questions than it answers
The older I get the more I understand why cats just walk away mid conversation.
Welcome to the CAMBRIAN FECAL REVOLUTION. We didn't name it the Cambrian fecal explosion for obvious reasons. I'm happy to share this paper on fecal matter and its role in Cambrian ecosystems. So if you want to read a really shitty paper (50 days free access): authors.elsevier.com/a/1nYg8cZ3X7...
Leaders of flag-raising group Raise the Colours Oxfordshire placed trackers on highway workers’ cars to find out their home addresses, the High Court has heard. RTC then attempted to intimidate the highway staff into no longer removing flags by repeating their addresses to them.
I usually don't repost US politics but this is universally applicable. The rich everywhere don't want to pay taxes because it might benefit the poor.
That's what taxes are, man. That's the definition of taxes. "You are subsidizing things you might never use" man shut the fuck up. My taxes currently subsidize like oil company exec private jets, you think I'm upset at low-income people eating inexpensive bananas?
This is Massive Attack's response to what happened in Singapore, posted on their Instagram page. Good on them.

Life update, as promised: karohemd.dreamwidth.org/2368448.html If you want to read from the beginning, you can do so in this post: karohemd.dreamwidth.org/2368074.html TL;DR: I'm finally back in my flat after two years, and have all the basics I need. Next expenditure: new glasses.
I want it to rain so badly that I just hang out some laundry, as a sort of weather-tempting spell.
Currently at 69% of our target (nice) -- we really need to book Mango & the wonky kittens in for scans & treatment ASAP. So here's our promise: if we hit the goal by the end of the week, we will keep wobbly dwarf kitten Chessie and name her Smolla Paula www.gofundme.com/f/emergency-...
